The New Brunswick Education Association (NBEA) represents over 1200 members, including certified as well as all non-certified, contracted personnel (except food service staff).
The NBEA upholds the contracts the association negotiates with the board of education and advocates for its members’ professional rights.
In addition, the NBEA supports many projects and activities that benefit our staff, schools, students, and community. Through a strong partnership with our local and state PRIDE program, the NBEA has facilitated community wellness fairs, book bag & school supply drives, coat & clothing drives and numerous other staff/community ventures.
Studies show that strong professional associations such as the NBEA, effectively advocate for their staff, students and communities. School districts with strong professional associations like the NBEA also have better educational outcomes for students.
We are proud of the work we do in COMMUNITY and we are proud to be the face of public education in the city of New Brunswick! From it’s inception, the New Brunswick Education Association has been a forerunner in employee advocacy and community participation. We are ONE VOICE, ONE STRONG, ONE LOVE…the NBEA!
